Tozeur is a town located in the south-west of Tunisia, not far from the Algerian border. It is known for its mythical Marabouts. At the time, Tozeur was named Thusorus, a passage between the coast and the desert.

The city is entirely made of bricks, mixture between sand and clay, there old constructions testifies a long urban desert civilization.

It is like an oasis of greenery at the gates of the great Sahara desert. With its huge field of date palms, this city is home to the largest palmaris in Tunisia.
