On May 21, the Yunnan International Smart Tourism Summit 2019 kicked off in Kunming. More than 800 honored guests from the governments, enterprises, financial sector, academic circles, international organizations of more than 20 countries and regions of the world attended the summit. Focusing on the theme of “Smart Tourism for a Better Life”, the summit was divided into four parts: a themed conference, the “Digital Cultural Tourism and Technology Innovation” summit, the “International Tourism Destination Innovation and Development” forum, and a themed exhibition.

After the opening ceremony was held on the first day, the Summit held two forums on May 22. As the support organization of the Yunnan International Smart Tourism Summit, WTCF collaborated with Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Kunming Municipal People's Government to jointly host the International Tourism Destination Innovation and Development Forum with the theme of “Sharing Global Experience for Future Benefits”.
