It has six "gold stamping business cards", including the world natural heritage, the first batch of world geoparks, the world "Zhangjiajie landform" named place, China's first National Forest Park, China's first batch of 5A level scenic spots, and national civilized scenic spots.

There are more than 300 scenic spots, such as Wulingyuan, Tianmen Mountain, Grand Canyon and so on. The forest coverage rate of the whole city is 71%, including 4 national forest parks and 2 nature reserves. It is an important ecological barrier area in the Yangtze River Basin, with 40 species of national protected animals and 56 species of plants
