Sevilla Introduction

Situated in the south of the Iberian Peninsula and in the valley of the Guadalquivir River, Sevilla is the capital of the autonomous region of Andalusia and the fourth largest city in Spain. As the sole Spanish city with inland ports, Sevilla is an ancient capital in Southwestern Spain and serves as an industrial, commercial, and cultural center.

As the sole Spanish city with inland ports, Sevilla is an ancient capital in Southwestern Spain and serves as an industrial, commercial, and cultural center. The city’s official language is Spanish, and most of its residents believe in Catholicism.

The literature classic Don Quixote was written in Sevilla, which is also home to Sherry and Flamenco. Southern Sevilla serves as the transportation hub, and many magnificent ancient buildings are preserved on the sides of the city. Western Sevilla, with wide streets, is well afforested, beautiful, and clean, reflecting dynamic and modern urban landscapes is enjoying a boom in the tourism industry.

Sevilla is influenced by the subtropical Mediterranean climate. It is dry in summer and humid in winter. The annual average temperature is 25°C in daytime and 13°C at night. Its summer is very long, usually lasting from May to October.
