Foreign tourists have right to “TAX FREE” policy. In South Korea, “Tax Free Korea” and “Global Blue Korea” are 2 companies which could perform the policy. Tourists can enjoy the policy on the condition that the value of purchase equals or exceeds 30,000 WON.
The Customs Entry Inspection generally is divided into non-declaration channel and reporting channels (ie. green channel to the red channel). Non-declaration channel is available if the total face value of cash and belongings are under 10,000 US dollars and 600 US dollars(In which, the amount of liquor, cigarette, and perfume should be under 1000MLs, 200, and 2 ounces respectively.)and also with no presence of prohibited articles, such as drugs, guns, gunpowder, plants and animals, counterfeit currency or securities, counterfeit goods, radio machine products, meat products, etc. For traveling with expensive goods or prohibited articles, tourists should fill the "Declaration form for carrying articles."
