Yunnan has stepped into the high speed rail generation with the opening of Shanghai-Kunming high speed rail and Yunnan-Guilin high speed rail. The “spring city” Kunming has been elevated by adding important functions of a transportation hub. In order to express the new image of Kunming, promote tourism influence, and highlight its role as a pacesetter in the strategy of building an international city, on April 17, the 2018 Kunming aviation and high speed rail tourism promotion was organized by the Publicity Office of Kunming Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (Information Office of Kunming Municipal People’s Government), and Kunming Municipal Tourism Development Commission in Nanjing. During the promotion, 10 selected travel products were promoted and Nanjing residents were invited to travel to Kunming.
