Rarely have so few contrails been seen in the Berlin sky as in the last weeks and months. The corona virus has virtually paralysed global air traffic. After the initial easing of travel restrictions, many airlines are announcing the resumption of their routes.
Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa's Belgian subsidiary, plans to return to Berlin from mid-June. Air Baltic announces the resumption of flights between Tallinn and Berlin, as well as Riga and Berlin. The airline American Airlines will start daily flights from Berlin to Philadelphia on 3 June 2020. Condor will expand its flight offerings again from the end of June and will serve destinations around the Mediterranean and Sylt from Berlin-Schönefeld.
