Dalian Railway Station was built in 1935 and is located in the business area in the city center. The station is surrounded by Qingniwa Shopping Area and Tianjin CBD, the two busiest areas in Dalian. Dalian Railway Station has been to the most important passenger terminal of Dalian; its trains connect the medium and large sized cities in Dongbei region to Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, etc. The light railway No.3 line’s terminal station is right beside the train station.

Traffic: No.7, 13, 31, 101, 201, 203, 408, 414, 522, 524, 531 buses have stops at the railway station. No.527 and 541 buses stop at the railway station north square.

Dalian North Railway Station located in Nanguanling area, the northern suburb of Dalian, about 15 miles away from the city center and development zone, 10 miles away from Zhoushuizi airport. The station was built and began use in 2012; it mainly serves high-speed rail trains. Dalian Railway Station on the other hand, mainly serves ordinary railway trains.
