On March 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 19 new cases of confirmed infections, no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths.

On March 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 19 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Guangdong province, 2 in Henan province, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Fujian province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 9 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 310 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on March 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 5,091 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 4,916 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 175 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on March 7, the National Health Commission had received reports of 89,994 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 85,175 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 183 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 981,326 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 4,379 were still under medical observation.

On March 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 17 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 16 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 15 imported cases) and 2 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on March 7, 242 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 241 imported cases).
