Museu Picasso is in the quarter El Born. This museum is categorized into several houses by Picasso creation periods. It houses over 3800 collections, including two of his first major works, The First Communion (1896), and Science and Charity (1897).
Picasso lived in Barcelona for years. Then, he moved to France and became a household name. Therefore, most of his mature works were in other countries. Spanish people spared no efforts to collect his early works, all of which are exhibited in Museu Picasso.
