Belgrade Fortress is located in the Sava and Danube confluence, this ancient fortress is the best witness to the history of the city and is a landmark attraction and place of leisure in Belgrade. In history, the castle saw several renovations and expansion, architectural heritages of ancient Rome, the Austro-Hungarian Empire are still visible, but most of the present sites are mainly built during the Turkish rule. The fortress is made of huge stones, and since the rule of the Celtics, it is an important military place.
