The memorial hall was built in memory of Zhu Zaiyu, who was a famous musician in the Ming Dynasty and was called a saint of Oriental Renaissance. It was built on the site of the musician’s residence where Zhu studied Chinese classic music, and it exhibits Zhu’s family history, personal life, and scholarly works. The memorial hall has been on the List of China’s National Cultural Relics Protection Units.
