Songhuajiang River

As the largest tributary of the Amur River, the Songhua River is an artery in Northeast China. The river has two tributaries. The section of the Songhua River flowing through Harbin City is over 100 meters wide. In summer, the river is a good place for people to take a stroll and enjoy the cool breeze. In winter, the river becomes frozen, and its half-a-meter-thick ice layer can enable people and carriages to walk on. In the river section near Flood Control Monument, both adults and children can experience various amusement programs on ice and snow.

Tips: Please see to it that the river is totally frozen before you play on its surface.

How to get here: take Bus 4, 8, 12, 16, 23, 24, 56, 65, 74, 85, or 201 to Flood Control Monument, walk northward to the end of the Central Street, and you will reach the riverside.
