In 2017, the passenger throughput of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport reached 49.8 million. Many Chinese and foreign airlines operate at CTU, such as Ethiopian airlines, United Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch airlines,Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, All Nippon Airways, Air China, Sichuan Airlines.By the end of January, 2018, there are 317 routes: 106 are international(regional) routes, 193 are domestic routes, and 18 are international routes with one domestic stop. From CTU, passengers could fly out to five continents around the world.

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport offers passengers direct flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York in North America; Frankfurt,Amsterdam,Moscow,Paris,Prague and Madrid in Europe, Melbourne, Sydney, Aucklandin Oceania; Addis Ababa and Mauritius in Africa, and the most major cities in Asia as well.
