Gänsemarkt is a shopping center with a long history. It is said that in the past, geese were often gathered here and then herded to Dammtor for sale. In the history, Gänsemarkt was leased in 1373, and it was not until 1600 that people began building houses here. Gänsemarkt got its name in 1709, and people associated its name with a landlord called Gosen at that time. There are many shopping malls, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes in Gänsemarkt. Visitors can find the No. 44 bakery with nearly 370 years’ history and the Banana Hall of the tax authorities.
