During the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival holiday, there will be 358 cultural activities online carried out by the city's public cultural institutions at all levels including special performances, folklore lectures, special exhibitions. Also, these institutions will visit people in need, and provide reading resources to the public. Capital Library of China will hold a lecture on the ox in ancient ceramic relics. All districts in Beijing will launch online music performance, dance performance, drama, opera and other special cultural performances, and the parties for the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival.

The public cultural institutions at all levels in Beijing will also provide 224 digital cultural databases, covering electronic reading, audio books, virtual exhibitions, art popularization and MOOC, literature and art appreciation, illustrated comic books, lectures, and forums and so on. Capital Library of China will offer readers 18 databases such as the digital libraries with Chinese picture-story book and online Chinese e-books. Beijing Center for Culture and Arts Activities provides 129 teaching courses on Beijing opera, symphony, Kunqu, drama, flower arrangement, photography, etc. All districts will also offer online cultural resources with their own characteristics.

During the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival holiday, three online temple fairs for intangible cultural heritage will be unveiled. What's more, a series of online performances, online lectures, online teaching, live streaming events and other activities for the promotion of intangible cultural heritage will be held. Among these events, Beijing Cloisonné Art Temple Fair will leverage online platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou and Taobao to display and carry out live streaming events on February 16 (the fifth day of Spring Festival), inviting folklore experts to explain the traditions of the old Beijing in Spring Festival, the meaning of cloisonné artworks and dining culture, etc., and carrying out livestream marketing to promote intangible cultural heritage.

In addition, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism will make full use of online platforms such as new media to promote 100 must-see destinations in Beijing and 20 urban routes so as to further showcase Beijing's cultural and tourism resources. On February 5, a live streaming event was held at the "Beijing Gifts" store at Gongmei Building at Wangfujing Street to promote nearly 1,000 "Beijing Gifts" and souvenirs.
