The Acropolis is one of the most outstanding ancient architectural complexes in Greece. It is a comprehensive public building serving as the center of religion and politics. Covering an area of about 3 hectares (30,000 square meters, 280 meters long from east to west and 130 meters wide from north to south), it is located on the hills of the acropolis in the center of Athens city. The Temple of Athena and other religious buildings are the earliest architectures built in 580 BC.
