On July 12, the press conference for the WTCF Qingdao Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2018 was held in Beijing. Jointly hosted by WTCF and Qingdao Municipal Government, the summit will be held at Qingdao Shangri-La Hotel, with the theme of “Orient Industry Trends, Brand Tourism Cities”.

During the early phases of the preparation, Qingdao attached great importance to the summit, and formed an organizing committee with the municipal government leaders and people from relevant departments of the government. The organizing committee has been working closely with the WTCF Secretariat in many aspects including summit campaign and guests inviting. Also, Qingdao is making preparations for the urban environment and public services on the basis of the SCO Qingdao summit. For now, all preparation work for the summit is going well.

At the press conference, Luan Xin, Qingdao Organizing Committee Director of WTCF Qingdao Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit and Vice-Mayor of Qingdao Municipal People's Government, said in her speech that the WTCF Qingdao Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2018 will be another great international conference for Qingdao to hold, after the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Qingdao Summit 2018. The holding of the WTCF Qingdao Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit will be an important way to implement the instructions and requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, amplify the SCO Summit’s effect, and improve the international influence of Qingdao.
