Mudanjiang Strengthens Inheritance of Paper-cutting Skills

On December 11th, the paper-cutting popularization class of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Group Training and Study Training Program officially opened at Mudanjiang Normal University. 60 paper-cutting inheritors from the province will further improve the skills and theoretical and cultural literacy of paper-cutting during the 30-day training.

This training was sponsored by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and organized by Mudanjiang Normal University. It aimed to comprehensively implement the study and training program of the intangible cultural heritage inheritance which is promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and strengthen the paper cutting inheritance in the province. This training course brought together the academic and teaching resource advantages of the school, formed an organic and complementary academic and management team to promote each other; and hired a team of experts that complemented each other inside and outside school and also the industry. The curriculum concept is advanced, close to reality, scientific and reasonable. The training course established a paper-cutting cultural exchange platform for holders, practitioners, and enthusiasts of paper-cutting culture, including research and discussion on skills, cultural heritage transmission, brand creation and innovation, and also information sharing. It is hoped that the majority of students will enhance the cultural self-confidence and inheritance practice ability of the inheritance crowd in the study and training, improve the level of heritage protection and inheritance in our province, and stimulate the vitality of our province's project on heritage.
