Mudanjiang Strengthens Inheritance of Paper-cutting Skills

On December 11th, the paper-cutting popularization class of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Group Training and Study Training Program officially opened at Mudanjiang Normal University. 60 paper-cutting inheritors from the province will further improve the skills and theoretical and cultural literacy of paper-cutting during the 30-day training.

Mudanjiang Normal University is the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage education bases set up by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. For more than two years, it has hosted the National Art Fund project "Heilongjiang River Basin Ethnic Handicrafts in the Russian Far East for Exchange Tour" as a starting point, the two sides have exchanged and cooperated closely to seek the development of non-heritage undertakings, creating a new situation in Heilongjiang's handicraft arts going to the world. Mudanjiang Normal University has taken the lead in the province's universities in the areas of conservation and development of non-heritage heritage, personnel training, scientific research, serving the society, cultural dissemination, international exchanges and cooperation.
